Patient Information

Your endodontic therapy will normally begin with a consultation thoroughly explaining your diagnosis and treatment options.  Treatment is often possible on the day of your consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan may require an appointment on another day for the actual procedure.

We schedule your appointment as promptly as possible. If you have pain or an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to see you that day. To schedule your consultation or appointment, you may call our office at 281-713-4411 or submit a request on our scheduling page.

PLEASE NOTE: a parent or guardian must accompany ALL patients under the age of 18 years to the visit.

Prior to your first visit:
  • Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern.

  • Once you schedule your appointment, please use the username and password provided by our office to login to this secure website and enter your patient information.

    • This will expedite your check-in process and allow you to relax prior to your appointment and be seen sooner.

  • If you have dental insurance, please provide that information, either when you make your appointment or through our online patient registration system.

    • We will be happy to contact your insurance company to estimate your share of the treatment cost.

  • If you are interested in flexible payments, our office is pleased to offer CareCredit, North America's leading patient program.

    • It is easy to apply online before you come in for your appointment.

On the day of your appointment:
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment.
    • If your dentist has provided you any x-rays or papers, please bring these with you on the day of your appointment.

  • The endodontic procedure will be performed using local anesthesia. There are usually no restrictions concerning driving or returning to work.

    • If you can take ibuprofen (Advil®) or naproxen (Aleve®), it does help reduce inflammation when taken preoperatively. We recommend two tablets of either medication 2-4 hours before endodontic therapy.

    • If you have concerns or questions, please call our office.

  • Please plan to continue all medications for blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid, and any other conditions as recommended by your physician.

    • If there is a question related to premedication, please call our office at least 24 hours before your appointment.

  • You will be responsible for any fees for services rendered on the day of your procedure.

    • If you have dental insurance, please inform us before your appointment and bring your insurance card with you to your appointment.  This will help us expedite any reimbursement due to you.

  • Treatment is often completed in one visit.  In some cases, however, a complex medical history or your tooth's condition may require a subsequent visit(s) on another day.

After your appointment:

  • Our office will provide you with any specific instructions or medications necessary after your endodontic therapy.

  • As a service for our patients who have dental insurance, we will gladly file insurance paperwork for you.

    • The actual reimbursement by your insurance will be determined by your insurance company as discussed further here.  Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility. Your prompt remittance is appreciated.
